Filet Mignon


  • Beef Filet Mignon

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 Tbsp. butter

  • 1 sprig fresh thyme

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil


  1. Set your Yedi Houseware Sous Vide to 138 degrees (F) and preheat the bath.

  2. Season the filet with salt and pepper and place in a vacuum bag, along with a tablespoon butter and a small sprig of thyme.

  3. Seal the bag. Immerse the bag in the bath.

  4. Cook for approximately 1 hour.

  5. Remove the bag from the bath and remove the filet from the bag.

  6. Pat the meat dry with a paper towel and then season again with salt and pepper.

  7. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet, and then sear the filet on all sides.

  8. Allow the meat to rest for a minute before slicing.
