New York Strip


  • 12 oz. beef New York strip steak

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil. 


  1. Set your Yedi Houseware Sous Vide to 130 degrees (F) and preheat the bath.

  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper and place in a vacuum bag.

  3. Seal the bag. Immerse the bag in the bath.

  4. Cook for 2 ½ hours. Remove the bag from the bath and remove the steak from the bag.

  5. Pat the meat dry with a paper towel and then season again with salt and pepper.

  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet, and then sear the steak on both sides for about 2 minutes per side.
